Support light up dorset
Light Up Dorset has a bold and Kingdom vision to see every person across Dorset have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Good News of Jesus, through a united, visible, and hope filled movement of local churches from all traditions and denominations.
Across the UK, there is growing openness to faith, particularly among younger generations. Dorset has around 800k people, yet only around 2.5–3.5% attend church regularly. This presents us with a challenge and remarkable opportunity.
Light Up Dorset exists to unite and mobilise the Church to respond to this challenge and God given opportunity byuniting churches across denominations, equip and train Christians to share their faith confidently, deliver a month of coordinated outreach across communities, culminating in a large, free, county-wide festival for everyone. This strategy has already seen tens of thousands engaged and thousands respond to Jesus in other UK regions and Europe.
